"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHIBI"

Today (8/6) is my youngest Chibi 8th B-day!

My lil guy Aaron. So young & wise. "An Old Soul", but nick named CHIBI (meaning the littlest one in Japanese) by his big brother Matt. He is my youngest child. Born developmentally delayed, didn't walk on his own until after his 2nd year with lot's of physical thearphy & prayer's he is about as normal as can be expected. He is still a lil slow & behind his peer's but continue's to grow & florish as each day passes. He's a lil comedian and alway's has a snappy come back for ya. He love's music and is most surely the best lil dancer. His sister Amanda's best friend and spoiled rotten by everyone! I have been most delighted watching his progress this past year, growing at a rapid speed and transitioning from the baby to the fine young man he is becoming. The tears welped in my eye's this morning watching him sleep remembering back on the day he was born, missing my baby but at the same time Thanking God for such a blessing and wrapping him in His loving care. My baby boy he will always be .... Mommy love's you so much ...

To My Anticipated Son

I anticipated complaining of a waking baby;
Not of being grateful he’s able to wake at all.
I anticipated the wonder of time rushing past;
Not of reflecting on milestones so small.
I anticipated crying at immunizations and bumps while learning his way;
Not of agonizing at more tests, evaluations, and word of more delays.
I anticipated choices over preschool, clothes, and scout troops;
Not of choices between hospitals, specialists, and which support groups.
I anticipated loving him, but enjoying his independence from me soon;
Not of loving him so much I’d want to keep him sheltered in my cocoon.
I anticipated health and perfection when my baby was inside,
thinking anything less would be tragic;
But now that he is here, my special son has worked some kind of magic.
I anticipated anger and disappointment at this fate;
Not the joy and growth and knowledge that have become mine as of late.
I anticipated something different, that is certainly true;
But that’s because I never could have anticipated, one I love, as much as you.
